Pan Fried Pork Chops with Country Gravy

These can be done with bone in or boneless pork chops. I opted for boneless as they were on sale. This is a different style of breading then my usual ( flour, egg wash, and bread crumbs ). This is more of a country breading technique. These come out perfect every time I make them.  Enjoy

Fried Pork Chops with Country Gravy

Ingredients

  • 4 Each Pork Chops
  • 3 Each Eggs
  • 1 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
  • Frying oil I use corn
  • 1/2 Tsp Hot Sauce

Instructions

  • Whisk Eggs with 1 tbls water and hot sauce
  • Mix Flour, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Paprika, and Onion Powder until well combined
  • Heat 2 inches of oil in cast iron skillet or large pan to 350 Degrees
  • Coat each pork chop in the flour and spices until completely covered, the dredge in the eggs until coated, then again in flour and place immediately into oil.
  • Fry until nicely browned on both sides. If not serving immediately black on baking rack and put in warm oven. Best if served immediately however
  • While pork chops are cooking make the gravy. Serve atop Mashed potatoes with gravy

  • 2 Tbls Flour
  • 1 1/2 Cups Milk
  • 1 Tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Hot Sauce
